 Dorothy Kamenshek, who joined the team as the batgirl in 1944, would become one of the key players on the Rockford Peaches team.

 Former New York Yankee Wally Pipp described Kamenshek as one of the best players in any league, men's or women's. He also thought that Kamenshek would likely be recruited by the Men's League.

Dorthy Kamenshek was only one of the many excellent players on the Rockford Peaches team.
