Implementation Plan for a Single-computer Classroom

 

Day One (40 min. class period):

Materials:

  • Packets of intro pages and each subject task page

  • One computer with internet accessibility

  • Smartboard (optional)

 Order of Operations:

  1. Have students become groups of 5

  2. Went over each intro page and took quizzes as a class

  3. Discussed group roles, took roles quiz

  4. Students worked and assigned roles

    Homework: 

Come up with team name and colors

Day Two (40 min. class period):

1.  Turn in team names and colors

2. quick review of yesterday

3.  discussed each project page and rubrics

4. students picked first two projects

 

Day Three (40 min. class period):

1.  begin working on projects

2. time for internet

3.  it is helpful to have students that have internet and printer at home find info that they need at home and bring it in to the room

 

Day four (40 min. class period):

1.  worked on projects

 

Day Six:

First project due

 

Days Five through Nine:

Same as Day Four

 

Day 10 (40 min. class period):

Projects were displayed/ reported on.
